Question

Something wrong with the exported AO map but can't see it

I exported the texture maps from SP and assigned them to Blender and Sketchfab. I realized there was an unexpected black spot stretching out. I unplugged the maps individually to find which maps caused the problem, and it turned out to be the AO map.

The weird thing is that the black spot disappeared when I assigned all texture maps back in a new SP file with the same low-poly mesh and the same UV. Mainly, I cannot detect any error on the AO map visually.

Hello @Kalyingj,

Thanks for the details.

Differences from Painter to another soft is usually due to the mesh triangulation. When you import a mesh inside Substance 3D Painter, it automatically triangulates the mesh in the backroom. Therefore, some visual deformations may happen when you apply your new textures on the non triangulate object.

If you want to make sure there is no differences between Blender and Substance Painter, you can export your Substance Painter mesh (File>Export mesh...), or triangulate your object directly inside Blender

Best regards,
