Substance crashes when in the File Dialog

Today my Substance Painter has started crashing when in the file dialog trying to import my OBJs. I should mention this is my first new project with the Adobe release of Painter, I just switched my licensing from Allegorithmic and updated to use the Adobe version.  My previous Allegorithmic versions of Painter worked flawlessly, but now I can't switch back.

Basically, when making a new project, everything is fine until I open the file dialog to load my model.  If I select, or even hover over, a directory or file in the file dialog, it will randomly lock up. When I say randomly, I mean about 95% of the time.  I have only successfully gotten all the way through the project creation process twice since upgrading.

I have dug through the FAQ's and Docs and found something about how Dell and Alienware have some file overlays that need to be removed as they cause issues with Painter, but I have neither of those.  I do have several for stuff such as Onedrive and Dropbox, which I don't want to mess with.

Again, this is only in the file dialog.  I have had no issues loading previous projects and working, it is only when I need to open the file dialog.

I have attached my log to this post.

I figured it out.  Turns out it is the 7.4.0 release.  I rolled back to 7.3.1 and my crashing no longer occurs.

Okay, update:  Substance will no longer open the File Dialog.  I recorded a video showing what happens, but now if I try and open the file dialog it gives me a partially rendered file dialog, then crashes.

I was having the same issues using Substance 8.3.0, went back to an older version 8.2.0 and now it's working. Thank you for this!
