When I open an 25 piece .fbx model group into SP, 9 seemingly random pieces are imalgamated into a single texture set in the TS list, despite the fact they all possess their own individual UV's. Can anyone explain why this might be happening?
Really new to this and not fully sure exactly what you mean. In this example, I created/unwrapped the UV's in Maya, baked the low-poly in Toolbag before loading an .fbx of the complete low-poly (comprising of 25 separate UV's) into Substance. So, is it that there is a UV creation tool within SP that I might have used without realising it?
Thankyou for your offer regarding the review of my project files etc. Really appreciated and would definitely take you up on it if my second attempt also fails (I deleted the original failed project)
From what I can gather, the first issue you mentioned is a group of UV islands gathering on one texture set.
This might be due to the automatic unwrap tool being used with specific parameters. By default, the auto unwrap feature should generate only the missing data.
I'm a bit confused with your PM. What is your issue exactly? Are you trying to load the model with UDIMs or as Texture Sets? Kind Regards,
