Xp-Pen Deco 01 V2 Pen buttons not working

The two shortcut buttons on my pen are not working. I'm not having any issues with pen pressure, but the the lack of use of the two buttons makes navigating the viewport very difficult, as I have to switch back to my mouse.

 

I've followed the pen set up guide for windows ink, and I've also set up a profile for substance painter.

 

Anyone know of a solution to this issue?

To anyone else that might come across this issue, running both the XP-Pen software and Substance Painter as admin seems to have solved the problem
