Coming from doing 2 semesters of Solidworks.

Solidworks is an outdated program in my opinion, but I've seen that a few corporate companies in the Aerotautics industry still use it.

How much different is Dimension to Solidworks? 

Can Dimension be used as a standard go to 3D editing software for all industries?

Can I use this for virtual photography and if so what is that like?
