What exactly is the function of the additional layers group that you get when you render out from dimension to PSD?

I'm trying to mask out the backgroud of the rendered image by using the object selection masks , but theselection is very pixilated and drops out in some areas.

When you render out from Adobe Dimension to PSD, the additional layers group serves a specific purpose. It provides a way to organize and manage your project in a more structured manner

The additional layers group can contain various elements of your design, each on a separate layer. This allows for greater flexibility when editing the design in Photoshop, as each element can be manipulated independently

For example, you might have different materials or models on separate layers. This means you can adjust the properties of one material or model (like its color, opacity, or blending mode) without affecting the others

However, the exact contents and organization of the additional layers group can vary depending on how you’ve set up your project in Adobe Dimension

Please note that this is a general explanation and the specifics can vary based on the version of Adobe Dimension and Photoshop you are using. For the most accurate information, please refer to the official Adobe documentation or community forums

Thanks for the informative response. I found that it was very difficult to use these layers to create any masks, especially to cut out the background.
