Dimension File Corrupted/Unable to Open

I was working on a file when my Dimension completely went grey and I couldn't save/do anything. This has happened before and I've just cut my losses and started again, though as it's happened a few times now I'd like to know if there's a way of recovering these files as sometimes a lot of work is lost.
