Question

Dimension will not open on MacPro

Dimension will not open on my MacPro5,1. The splash screen is incomplete; the 'Open' and 'New' buttons are blank. I have to force quite to close the app. There are no error messages or requests to report to Adobe. The splash screen just freezes. These apps run as expected:

InDesign
XD
Photoshop
Illustrator
After Effect
Bridge (a little buggy; will freeze sometimes)

Acrobat

Adobe Animate

I have tried loading the oldest version and the newest version.

I have 2GB of vRAM and 64 GB of Ram. Here are my specs:

It would seem that the CPU can no longer be upgraded.

Thank you everyone for your time.

the min spec for for Mac is (2011 or newer), so this system is too old as kglad linked to

I upgraded the processor to the same specs as 2012. The model identifier reads 5,1.

You are hitting the limits of your older machine. Stuff will continue to break more frequently.

it's not clear your computer meets basic specs (eg, os, 64 bit), Dimension system requirements (adobe.com)
