Importing OBJ file: Fail - I'm pretty sure it's just polygons

Hi everybody,

I figured this is probably a pretty common thing. So I read a couple other thread to see if I could get away with an answer without posting. The first time I imported this model, it had rounded edges etc, so I figured that was the problem as Dimension only imports polygonal mesh.

I then I dumbed down the object in C4D as much as I could, then imported it, still failed. So I then tried importing another OBJ file from VCPilot's Essentials. Worked fine. 

So there's something wrong with my OBJ file, but I can't figure out what it might be. Is it typeface? Is that the problem? Outside that it's just a rectangle. I attached the file for reference (actually, no I won't. that failed too). 

Great so my OBJ file isn't an OBJ file...?

If I could have a better understanding on what I can mport of why this isn't working that'd be great. As always, thanks for reading. 🙂
