Mapping in Adobe Dimension version 4

While there is so much about version 4 that I prefer over previous versions the mapping is vastly inferior for the reason I'll outline below.
I wasn't crazy about the mapping graphic to object previously but what made it work was that I could import a photoshop document and and tweaks I needed to make i could click the edit button on the graphic in Dimension which would open it in photoshop, I'd make the tweaks, save and it was instantly reflected in Dimension. The edit feature is now gone. When you import a graphic you're stuck with it and if you save it externally you have to reimport it and you lose all your parameters. Moving the graphic around the object is erratic, at times not moving and at others jumping. I'm surprised that you can't import parameters for position like you can with scale.
Please, please, please can we have the edit graphic button back as I'm currently taking many times longer for an inferior result.
Unless I'm missing something that someone can enlighten me on
