Mirror reflection when render

HI 

Reg - a face mirror.

i applied the metal texture for the face mirror effect , when i render it reflects the model itself along with environment picture ,i want to have the environment picture alone while i render , how to do this ?

he doesn't want the edge of the model to reflex is what the question is asking yes

options;

  1. hide parts of the model as Ares points out then do 2 or more rendors to build up the image you want
  2. change the material surface of the mirror edge to something that does not reflex as much light
  3. change the level \ angle of light in line with the camera so that the light reflexs less

 

these are your basic options to get the result you asked for... which one to use depends party on what you want the final rendor to look like i.e, are there going to be more models in later or perhaps a background image

 Do I understand right that you need environment picture rendered only on sphere? Hide the layers in scene that you do not need to render.
