New Dimensions UPDT gives completely different results with same settings

I spent the first month of Lockdown learning Dimensions and had some great results rendering glass bottles in various light set-ups I'd been tweaking. Now with the new update if I bring in a new .obj file and use the same settings the results are completely different (and unusable). Am I going to have to spend another month relearning this due to an update!?
