New update (version 4.1.0) is extremely slower than the previous version

I just installed the latest version of Dimensions and the material application is much much slower. It can take up to 3 minutes to select an object again. Rendering with the same settings as the previous version has gone from 2 to 30 minutes. I hope the speed issue gets fixed as it's affecting my workflow in the program. The type of texture being applied doesn't affect the length of time it takes to apply a material.
