Question

open heavy files

Ciao

scusate se scrivo in Italiano. Purtroppo ho alcuni problemi ad aprire alcune files pesanti. Mi si blocca la schermata e non si apre più niente. Devo forzare la chiusura del programma. Gli altri files più leggeri non mi danno problemi.

Cosa posso fare?

Grazie

Hi

sorry if I write in Italian. Unfortunately I have some problems opening some heavy files.
The screen freezes and nothing opens. I have to force the program to close.
The other lighter files don't give me problems. What can I do?   Thanks

let me hit the highlights for you;

  • you say Dimension works on some small rendors = your system has the min specs to run Dimension
  • you say large rendors fail = you don't have enough ram
  • you say you are not using the gpu beta rendor = then your gpu card doesn't matter... its your Cpu + Ram which matters

moving forward;

  1.  share the Dn file that is too big for your system to rendor = I'll test it on mine to rule out any file corruption
  2. assuming the files are not corrupt your only remaining option is a system with more ram

"Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti" = are you running the beta software for gpu driver?

if so then turn it off and use the standard Cpu rendor tool in stead

also you can give your feedback or report bugs https://feedback.adobedimension.com/forums/552559-adobe-dimension-feature-requests

p.s, sorry for the late reply, I just found this thread again

No, I don't use it, because if I used that it would crash. So, I use CPU normal.

looking at the screengrab I'd say your system ran out of ram... try closing all the other software first and see if Dimension can manage then
