PNG does not wrap properly around object

Hello, I have some issues in regards to wrapping PNG's around an object. The PNG fill size is 30 x 220 mm.

When I drag it on my object it is way to small by enlarging it to fit the object the outer parts of the PNG get distorted (see images). The size of my object in dimension is X = 8.3, Y = 5.5, Z = 8.3. I offcourse want to wrap it fully around around the object with a only a slight space..
