Render takes too long

Hi, 

I am trying to render down a file which contains a 3D object, but for some reason, there is a problem in doing so.

Ideally, I would like to be able to render my image to a high quality jpg file. But it will take on average say 2 to 3hrs. Obviously, no one has this amount of time! 

Pls help!
