If I want to place stickers (*ai or *jpg) on round plates (models imported from *.obj), several identical square sections from original image are patched together as a repetition to a mosaic.

What am I doing wrong again?

You have to customise Decals "Fill" And "Repeat' modes in properties panel for decal. The problem is that your decal image have rectangele or square form as any bitmape image. You can edit it in Photoshop and design it as a round. Use mask feature in Ps. There is "Export UVs" feature in Dimension that you can use for exact placing of the dacal on 3d object.

Thanks, this was it. Now it works.
I used the "Generate UVs" feature, so no "export UVs" was required.
