Using layers from AI in Dimension

I'm using Dimension 3.4.1 on Windows 10 Pro, and I cannot choose the layer from AI when I place the graphic on the model.  Am I doing something wrong or is it just a bug? 

 

The work around I'm using is to save each layer to a png file and importing that, but I lose the scaling and other settings.

You can place each layer on seperate artboard in Ai and then choose required artboard for changing your decal. In Dn you can place Ps and AI file as Graphic Image and change artboards.

 

Also  you can export each layer from Ai as SVG file and place it as Graphic Image on Dn model.
