It's just a matter of personal preference, but it would seem that Dreamweaver wants me to download the dependencies onto my site. Greetings,I am posting this for the people who want to create a virtual local server and have a separate server that runs their code and is accessible via local network. I am not an expert but I want people to check this tutorial and give me their opinion to improve it little by little. This can be used to frequently test your website in different devices that are connected to your network. I have a Ubuntu LAMP server on my local network with a few existing WP sites. The LAMP server is used only for development. I want to be able to work with Dreamweaver/Wordpress using that server, rather than having to import to my local machine. I have read a few tutorials for doing this with a local WAMP/MAMP server, and tried to extrapolate the instructions for a LAN server, but to no avail.Does anybody have any resources on how to do this? Is this even possible?

I'm hoping someone can help me. I just upgraded from CS6 to 2020. In CS6 I could click <h1> and then that item would appear in the right coloumn. I could could right click the item and I would be directed to that item on the CSS page. I can't seem to do that in 2020. Thanks.

Hey everyone,I upgraded to Dreamweaver CC 2020 and when I select a tag the closing tags aren't hightlighted anymore. Am I missing something? Why would this not be default?

I downloaded the new Deramweaver 2020, connected to remote server, used the Get webstie folders, edited what I needed to, saved, pushed to test server and even used Live and all changes were as I needed. However, whan I connected to remote server to upload, it went through the motions as it did in the old 2004 Macromedia Dreamweaver, yet, when checked on the browsers, no changes went through.I tried to troubleshoot and gave up after 6 hours and getting same results.Avoided Dreamweaver yesterday and decided to clear the file cache. I followed instructions and did so. I opened Dreamweaver and refreshed the site list only to discover the massive list of images were still there! I tried refreshing again, in case there was a lag. No, still same.  

I need to position a paragraph vertically centered to all ebook readers. I added this code to a paragraph style in CSS to center a single line of text:margin: 50vh 0 0 0;  /* vh stands for viewport height*/-webkit-transform: translateY(-50%);transform: translateY(-50%);This worked perfectly.Does anyone have the code for vertically centering a multiline paragraph added to the paragraph style? I have used Dreamweaver off and on for about twenty years. I ran into some problems with several Adobe Applications. It took me several days but with the help of some Adobe experts the problems I was having with Animate and Illustrator have been fixed. Part of what they had me do was to remove all Adobe applications from my computer. When I put back all the ones I use I can't get Dreamweaver to even download. It reads "unable to copy. Check permissions and try again. Error code 147"I have bumbuled around but I can not find (therfore not correct) the problem. Help!

Hello everyone! I want to create website for my friend. When user visit website from PC, he will see the menu, photos and other things. But if he visit website from Android smartphone, he must see the link to Play Market store (where will be app of this website). If user visit website from iPhone/iPad, he will see the link to App Store.  I see that idea here https://iq-option.bid/ but i dont know ho do it.  Can you help me with it?

All of a sudden, after years of work, when I open an html file with SPLIT mode (code on top and design on bottom), the spry menus don't show in the design mode.   I've seen this happen in the past when the HTML file was outside of the root folder, but I've checked and the two files in the TEMPLATES folder look fine.  And I've tried restoring older versions but that makes no difference.    I can still edit the files and they work fine when uploaded to the host, I just cannot preview the layout withint Dreamweaver - only in a browser. Any hints or help would be appreciated.   Our home page is www.mafca.com

Hey guys,To my understanding web browsers have their own set of typefaces that will automatically load when a webpage is open right? And there will be typefaces that will be the same over Chrome, Firefox, Safari, IE... etc.... Well, the company I work for wants me to rebrand their company and this includes changing the typeface. The key word is consistency, so if I choose a typeface for a heading, it will need to be consistent when viewing the company website and internal company screen and print designs.Though, my concern and question is;1 - What happens if the typeface and it's not compatible with the web browser? My manager stated that they can upload the typeface file to the server but they want to avoid that for the mean time and find a typeface that is quite universalSorry, am new to browser typefaces and I am trying to understand more of typefaces in web but it's a bit confusing to me atm.

Hello and thanks in advance for any help.I made this website about twelve years ago and it hasn't been updated for about ten years but still was live. I'm now trying to revive the website with no success.All original files have been restored from backups with no changes.None of the pages are editable in code view but I found I could do editing in design view which I thought would be okay except when I updated the site on line only the index page works, no links working. The template page is completely editable but not the twenty plus pages associated with it. I'm working on a Bootstrap project with a simple column-row table. I will click into a box to add text and the display cycles through previous elements, including the Navbar, then stops. I can't add text, use the column add/subtract features, or do much else. I don't see anything unusual turned on. As Ren once said, I'm... going... mad. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

A curious co-worker poked around and deleted the library home folder and sub files. I'm having trouble getting this fixed so I can update/ maintain our website. I purchased a book, which I have skimmed several times and have viewed many YouTube videos, have experimented unsuccessfully. I have run into a bad problem when using Edgefonts. They were originally installed through Dreamweaver onto my Macs with an unsecure http (without the "S") address as their source (instead of from the alternative secure "https://" source) and this is causing blocked access to my websites. I have repeatedly removed the non-secure http version from my files but it persists in reinserting itself in my source code and I desperately need to know how to get rid of that code permanently although I do want to use this particular Edgefont on a web site which I am building. This is the correct source:<!--The following script tag downloads a font from the Adobe Edge Web Fonts server for use within the web page. In this current version of Dreamweaver, PHP commands "include" and "require" no longer work in some of my webpages.  I've compared coding that doesn't work with coding that does work and they are identical.  I've tried following Adobe instructions to set up PHP on each website, but it still doesn't work.  I don't know what to do next.  Can you help me?
