Hello Beautiful people!I have Dreamweaver version 2017.5 Should I upgrade?  Yes? No?Why am I asking this?Well, i don't want to lose my passwords that I have in my settings to connect to my sites.I remember that in the past, it was a mess, not sure now.So, is the update wroth it? Thanks

Is there a way for me to tell my .htaccess file to :- Allow only specific pages to be indexed by outside crawlers/bots- Block all crawlers/bots except GoogleBasically, I have specific pages I'd like Google to index, and no one else (like archive.org)Thanks!

I have created a web site using Dreamweaver CC  but wish to revert back to CS6 so that I don't have to keep paying a monthly sub. Will my CC sites still work?

Looking for basic functionality :Click a link, screen fades to semi-dark, another div gets superimposed on the site, clicking anywhere returns to site underneath.(Would be even nicer if everything faded in and out in 3 or 4 steps, and if the background blurred a bit in addition to going darker.)Any scripts to recommend that even a nub like myself could implement without accidentally unraveling space-time? The site is already using PHP and jQuery.Thanks!

Yes, I've gone backwards to CS6.  I have lost the "type" and "dates" and "size", etc on the files tab.  Does anyone know how to get that back?  It doesn't work by right clicking on the bar like it does in CC.  I've tried that.Anybody?TIA!

Ich erstelle das Grundgerüst meiner Bootstrap-Seite mit BootstrapStudio und bearbeite dann in Dreamweaver CC weiter.Beim öffnen der index.html erkennt Dreamweaver, dass es sich um ein Bootstrapaufbau handelt und knallt ohne Nachfragen die eigenen Bootstrap-Daten und Scripte in die Datei.Wie kann ich solche störenden Automatikfunktionen deaktivieren?Vielen Dank für die Hilfe

Hi Guys,Somewhere along the line I have made an amendment to the new design a guy created for me, which has caused the header image to become just a thin grey line at the top of the page, displaying the very bottom of the header image (just under the nav, at the top) as opposed to the full image taking up the top quarter of the webpage, as it used to.  https://www.mindtraining.net/website4/sports-mental-training/gymnastics-tumbling-fear.php  I am using Dreamweaver CC.   It's obviously some kind of a Style or Bootstrap issue, as the source code of the actual page does not seem to have changed.   Any thoughts would be much appreciated.      Cheers,Craig T

I'm trying to use a collapsible accordion for a webpage I maintain for an athletics program that I coach. However, I don't have a lot of experience with CSS or bootstrap. I can't seem to get the accordion to collapse, instead only getting what seems to equate to a basic table. Please help!

Good morning. I have added a favicon logo to my website. But it looks small compared to other favicon that I've looked. I've used the size that is suggested from the website. Is there a way to make it bigger where it can be seen?

Good morning. I'm trying to attempt this feature in this link NIGEL BARKER where my pictures show up, where the viewers don't have to scroll. On the right hand side, the scroll bar doesn't scroll up and down, moving the image. It looks like an auto scroll to adjust the image content. Is this feature possible in Dreamweaver? Thanks.

Good evening. I'm in the midst of error checking my pages one by one. I'm currently error checking my home page MICHAEL GUYDON PHOTOGRAPHY​ So far I've been able to clear out all but two errors. The logo on the top left shows up as an error.<img src="logo camera.fw.png" alt="" width="240" height="53" class="img-fluid"></a> The second error is this one. When I attempt to omit this, it enlarges my navigation menu font. <a class="navbar-brand" href="#"></a>↩ <link href="css/bootstrap-4.0.0.css" rel="stylesheet"><style type="text/css">↩.  Is there any solution to this? I am using Dreamweaver CS6 v.12.0 for the mac.I was updating my web pages and everything worked fine.  Next day i came back to continue updating pages and nothing will "put" to the site.  I ran a test and I am making contact with the site.  I am by no means a dreamweaver expert.  I just need it to work.

An odd issue has happened recently. I've created a DW template and applied it to several blank pages. I've then changed the template and saved. Normally, it should ask if I want to update all of the pages made from the template and show all of the pages on the list. Now, it only shows one of the pages. I have to then open each page and manually "update page" from the tools -> template menu.I've found that a fix is to restart DW or go to site -> recreate site cache. I'm on version 2017.0.1. In previous versions, the pages have all updated immediately upon saving a template. Is there a bug that doesn't cause the site cache to refresh automatically?

I have upgraded Xampp to version 7.2.1, coming from 5.6. However, I am used to creating websites in Dreamweaver CS4, the wysiwyg-way with minimal PHP-changes done manually. Since my hosting service is no longer supporting PHP 5.6 or 7.0, my site doesn't work anymore. I just came across the most elegant use of box-shadow I think I've ever seen, at NASA's site, which uses it to accentuate the fact that there's a horizontal scroll there (on the right side of the chart).Too many stylesheets for me to sift through there... I tried Googling for a way to do this - and found way more complex stuff I didn't think was do-able - but couldn't find this specific method (fades to transparent in 3 different directions, not just 1).

I don't code on the regular anymore, and need to add a simple "click here to contact" button (png) on a page. Wasn't sure how developers were protecting their addresses from easy harvesting in 2018, or if they were even still bothering anymore. (Are they?)I'd be open to anything that doesn't require more than regular ul/dl ftp access to the web server.Thanks.

Hello, I have dreamweaver for my web class and the instructions are to start a new HTML doc in Dreamweaver using Bootstrap. However when I click File > New > HTML the Framework panel remains blank. I have restarted the program, closed out of all windows and restarted the program, restarted the computer, updated the program, and uninstalled/reinstalled. I can't get it to load. I am running on a Mac OS High Sierra.

Hi there!I program with ColdFusion and usually keep a small design view window above my code view for navigation purposes. I just updated to Dreamweaver 19 and wasn't paying complete attention when it was popping up new preference dialogs and now nothing is showing up in the design view. How do I go about telling DW that it doesn't need to worry about the CFML and just render the HTML that it can? Google is failing me.Thanks!

Good evening. I'm looking to do a Carousel page on my website. I want to be able have the pictures cover the entire page, similar to when you add a image to the background of your website. Is this possible? And if so, what do I need to do, to make this possible?

Hi, I want to make a gallery page that is responsive but includes both portrait and landscape images (like the image attached) is there a way to achieve this without buying a plugin?  The only way I figured to do it so far is to add individual classes to each image and then adjust the margins to get them in line, I'm going to have multiple pages like this and don't want to have to do this for each as it is incredibly time consuming.  Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Hi all, a little help if I may before I lose all of my hair!I am a newbie to web design since this year.I have a responsive dropdown menu that I got from W3 schools which has worked fine until now.I originally designed the website poorly by altering the bootstrap css and now I know this was wrong as the page behaved badly when it must have updated. I have since copied and pasted all of my html code over onto new bootstrap templates on dreamweaver and not touched the CSS files, I have created a custom.css where I have added all the releavnt over-riding CSS and added the javascript from W3 schools.I have effectively copied and pasted the code from W3 and just changed small details such as colour, nothing with media queries or anything else, but now the dropdown only works on mobile from hamburger but not on desktop.Everything else is working fine just this one issue...Any ideas?Thanks Emma
