Question

Trial version incorrect

I have a full CC subscription. My laptop was stolen last week and I had to purchase a new one. I've since re-installed the CC, but now Fireworks shows as a 'trial' version. I need this fully re-enabled asap.

Just follow the solution here,https://community.adobe.com/t5/fireworks-discussions/can-t-use-fireworks-after-windows-11-upgrade-license-issues/m-p/12562654  it works for Win 11. Afterward turn off Automatic updates in the Creative Cloud app so it doesn't update Firworks. I had the exact same issue on Win 11.

Very sorry for your loss. ☹

Which operating system does the new Laptop have?

I ask because it might not be compatible with legacy (11 year old) Fireworks.

1. Open CC desktop App.

2. Click on Avatar > Preferences.

3. Select the APPS tab.

4. Check the box to Show Older Versions.

If your OS supports it, Fireworks should appear.  If not, it won't.

I was able to install it and am able to use it. That's not the problem.
The issue is that is opens as a *trial* version with a 30 day expiration.
This is what needs resolution.
FYI, the system is Win 11.

  • Did you update to the latest CC Desktop App?
  • Did you try installing Muse?  Don't ask me why but installing Muse has helped some people circumvent the 30 TRIAL mode in Fireworks.

Unfortunately, Adobe can't help you because FW (CS6) is discontinued & unsupported.

Hi - if you see a 'licence this software' button, it can sometimes be as simple as clicking that.

Otherwise, I would recommend completely uninstalling Fireworks and reinstalling with an offline installer from here

*Important* make sure you visit this adobe page first and login with Adobe credentials, the links are to official Adobe installer on Adobe server, so you need to set an Adobe cookie first before attempting to download
