Long story short:

The issue seemed to be that I applied with an account based on a mail adress from a german public mail provider (web.de).

The solution was that I just created a mail account from the company I work for as a freelancer and for which I needed the MSI-files.

It took me 5 minutes to create the mail account and adobe account including the application form I got quite used to.

After 5 more minutes i got the reply mail who granted me access to the download page with the files.

Obviously the download page is now connected to my adobe login, so I have to log in to check for new versions, but that's okay.

So if you're running into the same issue, try creating a new account with a company mail adress.

Thanks Maria, for helping me to sort this out.

Did not receive initial response from noreply@adobe.com with the download link to the msi files. Please resend. I just reapplied just in case.

Hi andrewr99146570 ,

Please private message me the email address/Adobe ID used to request the distribution license and I'll follow-up with the licensing team.

Hi

I have applied with my company email addy and I received confirmation. But now when trying to download the update I automatically get sent to this link - Flash Player issues on Windows 8

Any advice as to why this is happening? I cannot seem to download the update.

Hi,

Did you receive the reply from noreply@adobe.com ? If yes, please use the URL mentioned in the mail to navigate to the download page to download the deliverables.

Thanks!

Hi rw36064971 ,

Please private message me the Adobe ID/email address used to apply for the distribution license.  To send a private message click on my User Name link and then click the 'Message' link button.  Please include a link to this discussion for reference.

Thank you.

Hi rw36064971 ,

We publish a masterversion.xml file that is updated with each release.  You can use this to grammatically check if an update is available.  This information is in the 'Player version' section of the Flash Player Administrators Guide (currently page 7).  Alternatively, you can also use the Adobe - Flash Player  page.  Neither of these require logging into the site to check the latest version.
