Flash Player does not work

Since the last update of Flash Player I can not get it to work in Internet Explorer. I have followed all the recommendations in the knowledge base. Starting with completely un-installing flash form my computer, rebooting and re-installing it. Running SubInACL. Setting my security to what is recommended for the flash player. Nothing seems to get it to work. When ever I go to a site that needs the newest version I am asked to download it and am told that it installs successfully and the it is Version 9,0,124,0, But still I can not get the content from the website. It works fine using Firefox but I have to use IE is my primary browser because some of the site I visit regular only accept IE. What can I do to get Flash Player to work properly since I have tried all that is recommended in the knowledge base?

I haven't had any problems yet with Flash player 10. I usually use Firefox, but I just tested a few flash based sites in IE 7 and didn't have any problems yet. Just use firefox :P. for me at least it it a lot better than IE.

I recently downloaded Cowen Media Center - Jet Audio. So far I am really happy with it for a music player. Go to download.com, go to the mp3 and Audio section. It is number 8 on the list but is the highest rated product.

    But!!!!
What does this have to do with the flash player not working?

do I add adobe as a port or as a program? and if it is as a port, what is adobe's port?

Add it as a program to the exceptions in the firewall and the anti virus program.

Change your security level to medium low and try again. Also you anti virus program and firewall might need to have adobe added as exceptions so it runs properly.

    dangerety,
This sounds more like a buffering problem. If I remember right you can right click on the video and adjust the buffer timing. I have not had to do it in a long time so I do not know if the newer versions still have this as an option.

I am on IE and I tried to download Adobe, sometimes I get the message that "your security settings do not allow websites to use ActiveX controls installed on your computer"

then I get this error message saying "Copy Error Setup cannot copy the file download.dll
Ensure that the location specified below is correct or change it & insert "Unknown" in the drive you specify"

    I need help

I am not sure my problem is the same as the flashplayer not working at all. I have downloaded the latest 10Active X version of flashplayer and get a message that it has been downloaded. However, when I try to play a video the video and audio starts and plays fine fo a few seconds then both stop for several seconds and then start up again where they left off and it keeps doing this start and stop repeatedly. Has anyone experienced that problem and, if so, has anyone found a fix for it?
