Flash Player Downloading, but can't see content.

I have been trying to install Flash Player for three days now. I have gone through every support step that was listed and still I can't see any content. Started with the install, didn't work; next came the unistall and reinstall didn't work. Upgraded browser, didn't work. Checked IE settings, didn't work. Checked Admin access, didn't work. Look in registry (as per adobe support instructions), nothing wrong. I also have Norton Internet Utilities and I went into the firewall settings and allowed all active x and flash content, still nothing.

Please, please, please, help!

SubInACL worked great, but you need to follow through with all the steps Darren gives you to make sure that you are not running the fix without having the conditions. Kudos to Adobe for taking the time to call from CA to PA and fixing a Microsoft problem! If more companies support pages were like this, there would be a lot more happy users. Listen to what Darren has to say, he knows what he is talking about. Well, again, thank you to Adobe and happy flash design!!!

I never got around to opening a case as I found the solution in an earlier post of Darren's, however it was a trying time. Thank you for your indirect assistance.

Hi Darren - Still waiting for some help,
I red all the post in this forum, but it seams that no one has a problem like I have.

I opend a case support ( The Case number is: 0180253107 ) but I don't receive any support at all.

I would be very happy if anyone could help me

    Thanks !

Darren hi..I am having similar problems to all of those posted previously! I have raised a case no: 0180283980.

Until a few weeks ago my flash player was working fine but then 2 things happened 1) I picked up a virus which I deleted but also used a registry cleaner 'ATF Cleaner' & 2) I was prompted to upgrade my flash player.

Since then I can not install the flash player & therefore view any flash content.

I have tried all of the recommended fixes and now seem to be going round in circles ;-( Ahhh please can you help.

    Best Regards

    Darren,

Would you please add the really simple fix (Enable Flash Add On from Tools) to your list of things to try to get Flash working? I've been trying for 3 weeks and was about ready to go to the Registry. That is scarey because basically I'm a novice.

I'm thrilled it's finally working. I had tried all of your other suggestions and nothing worked until I came across an obscure thank you (to you) for this simple fix on the RSS. What a relief!

Yes, I will make sure this solution is included.

“For Windows Internet Explorer please check to be sure that the Shockwave Flash Object under Tools, Manage Add-ons is enabled.”

    Darren solved my case today.

    Case number #0180251524

He helped me out with my problem of not being able to get Flash to play in Internet Explorer. The problem ended up being a very simple thing to fix. The add-on for Flash was disabled and Darren enabled it for me. It was under Internet Options/Programs, then manage
add-ons. He enabled Flash and it worked.

Darren was a huge help, Thanks Darren

Terrific --I followed your simple fix using Tools/InternetOptions/Programs/Manage AddOns
and it worked. I've been trying for two weeks! No where was this suggested.
Please ask Darren (Adobe Senior Member) to add this to the list of things to try before going
    to the Registry.

Thank you for taking the time to write about this easy fix for Flash.

    Hi Darren-

Can't seem to find the place to send you a private message. My case # is 0180259726. I'm having much the same issue as almost everyone else. I installed flash player 9,etc. (or thought I did) but I can't view video. Unistalled, defragmenting. Too scared to touch the registry and too unsure to do a disk cleanup.

I would like to give you my email & phone but I can't figure out how to do that.

    PLEASE PLEASE HELP!

    Hi trezzuur,

Flash Player is working now. I'm not positive what the conflict was, but it's working. If the issue returns, please reopen the case. Thanks for taking the time to work with me.
