Hi, I have a textFlow where I have implemented columnCount and columnGap properties. Now for some reason I have to remove that old container with: textFlow.flowComposer.removeAllControllers(); and use a new container to update it's height and width; But I am not getting the columnCount and columnGap even though I reassign it with ContainerFormat after adding the Controller to textFlow. ok, so just out of the blue i keep getting a similar error on compile regardless of what font (yes it's opentype): "The font named Cooper Std Black will be output as an older DefineFont swf tag instead of using the DefineFont4 swf tag. Fonts set to "Bitmap text [no anti-alias]" can not use the DefineFont4 swf tag." this font was working before but for some reason i keep getting this error, tried "reinstalling" the layout framework, about to reinstall flash cs4.....anyone else run into this conundrum.

I'm creating a new TextFlow, calling textFlow.flowComposer.updateAllContainers(), and it creates an empty paragraph and span. That means when I start adding ParagraphElements to the flow, there is an empty line at the top. After creating a textFlow and adding a paragraph, I expected the paragraph to be first. Is there a better way around this than setting a flag?

I must be missing something basic... I am trying to load a swf via InlineGraphic. I get varying degrees of failure in different browsers, Safari, Firefox, and IE, and not always the same result for a specific browser on multiple runs of the application. Sometimws I see that the inline swf is coming across to the browser(i can see that with Firebug as well as the debugger console in FlexBuilder) but it is not showing up as visible. Other times, I get nothing. Sometimes the browser hangs, and one time the inline swf appeared in Firefox. In addition, the export via TextFilter indicates that the TextFlow is correct, and I get all of the appropriate StatusUpdateEvents. What am I missing? I am using Gumbo 5032 Thanks, tim

Is it possible to determine the amount of columns a textflow generates when textFlow.columnCount = FormatValue.AUTO? textFlow.computedContainerFormat.columnCount gives back "auto".

Hi FlexSDK devs, I found something strange... Flex SDK 3.3.0.4852 is the latest stable build but it doesn't have these 2 packages: - flash.events - flash.net I checked my SDK 3.0 (milestone build) and it does have those packages. However those packages do appear when I enable the "Include ADOBE AIR libraries" option. Are these packages accidentally got removed from Flex SDK 3.3.0.4852?? Or are they actually permanently got removed? Thank you!

I have a paragraph with two link elements. I want one to be left aligned (against the left margin) and one to be right aligned(against the right margin). For the life of me, I cannot get this to work. I thought a simple set of spans inside the <P> with the textAlign would do it, but alas the links dont show up inside spans. ( <p><span textAlign='left'><a...>...</a></span><span textAlign='right'><a ...>...</a></span></p> ) Any help is greatly appreciated, and sorry for the newbie-like question. Tim

Hi guys~ I've an interesting question. Back in TextField, Korean text insertion was handled by the Flash Player specific code. So as TLF is appearing, how are you handling the Korean text editing which require multiple type sequence composition. I mean a single Hangul(Korean) character may need multiple keycode eventually producting a korean character. To the Adobe TLF Team: I've been having great results with the TLF in two different Flex applications now, but my users do comment about selection and clipboard issues that seem more controller related than anything. I do realize that we're working with very early software. Nonetheless, what does the next major TLF milestone look like and will you be addressing any interactivity glitches? Edit: I put the TLF blog on my RSS list :)

Is it possible to export somehow the TextLayout XML format to PDF? Maybe a c++ library via alchemy?

I have a large flow (about 90k) with a good mixture of text, images and links. I have a scrollbar that I am using in conjunction with a single controller/container sprite attached to a text area to view the text. After the flow is loaded, and I compose/updateallcontianers, I set the max of the scrollbar to: bar.maxScrollPosition = cont.contentHeight-textArea.height; (I also tried bar.maxScrollPosition = cont.contentHeight as well) Almost always, the scrollbar ends up having a much larger number than the actual contentHeight. When the text area resizes, it recalculates all of this, and after a couple of restores and maximizes to the browser, the max scroll position and the contentHeight are in sync. I tried using composePosition instead of compose, and that had no effect. I tried using composePosition after compose and that had no effect. I am using Gumbo 5032. Is this a bug? Hello, I've been told by my client that my arab text is not rendering correctly. The problem occurs where an incorrect 'alef' appears next to a 'lam'. Now I'm not an arab speaker or reader unfortunately, so I really don't understand exactly what this means, but its incorrect. I've had a good look at my character settings, and I'm not seeing any extra properties that I can set to correct this. Hello all, I'm trying to add a doubleClickEvent to an InlineGraphicElement, so that a popup window appears, and I can enter a new width and height. I'm having trouble adding a listener for the doubleClick event to an image that I'm about to add as an Inline Graphic Element. 1. Before or after I'm inserting the image with insertInlineGraphic(source,width,height), how can I add a double click event listener? 2. Once I get a doubleclick mouse event working, how again can I access the selected or doubleclicked image so I can modify width and height attributes? Thanks so much for the help! Justin
