A couple of questions about FM 2022 (instead of FM 7)

Here are a couple of things I have been wondering about the last couple of days, after switching from 7 to 2022:

When I open the program, there are no icons at the top. Just text. So instead of clicking on an “Open file-icon” I have to click File and then Open. Is this the only way to open a file?
When I open a bookfile it docks on the left side of the program. No close-icon, just the lines where I can choose close tab. Another example of me having to click on 2 things instead of one. I realize I can “free” it from the docked position, but then the tab is as high as the program is, and I have to manually make it smaller so it’s not in the way for other things I am doing. Isn’t there a way to open it the same way as a file is opened (as it was in version 7)?
Also in a book file. Where’s the Print icon? Do I really have to go through the File-menu?
The icons and text boxes are so small (I have a very large screen). Is there a way to make the icons and text boxes larger? As it is now I have to lean very close to the screen to be able to see properly… The icons are about 3 mm high (0,11 inches). The X:s that closes a tab or file are 1 mm high (0,04 inches), and I miss it half the time and click somewhere else…

Not everything is bad though :) I haven’t started to work in the program properly yet (I first need to know if everything will work with fonts and so, as a file saved here can never be opened in version 7 again), but I found one thing that I have really, really wanted and needed for as long as I have used the program! And that is the ability to change the image padding to a higher number in Preferences. All our pictures are inserted with 5 mm “air” above and below. As it was before, I had to click on the picture, open Object properties, copy the height of the picture, click on the frame around it and paste the number, then add 10 mm to that. Now it’s automatic!! Will save me a lot of time!

Here is a solution to the Toolbar issue when FrameMaker first launches. Follow these steps:

Create a plain text file called ShowToolbars.jsx and put this in the file:
Fcodes ([FCodes.KBD_TOOLBAR_SHOWALL]);
Save the document here:
C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\FrameMaker\18\startup
where <UserName> is your Windows login name. If the startup folder doesn’t exist, create it.
Quit and restart FrameMaker. You should see the Toolbars display right after FrameMaker launches.
