Alternate Page Numbering

Question

Hi all, does anyone have a clue about how to use alternate numbering on a document? That is, the left page has no number and the right page has a number which follows on from the previous right page i.e. it does not assume that the left page is there...if you get my drift! They want a notes page but they do not want it numbered so I need to find some way to include the notes page without it affecting the numbering system.

This isn't intended as a brush-off, promise -- but near the top right of the right-hand column there's a handy-dandy search window that searches just the FM forums:

searching for "page numbering" brings up several discussions of various ingenious methods to alter FM numbering. Bottom line is that working around FM's built-in numbering is, at best, difficult -- most workarounds have gotchas that most often only become apparent in actual use, so it's more a matter of choosing your own poison.
