Question

Anchored frame not running into paragraph

Afternoon,

I have an anchored frame set to run into paragraphs on a paragraph style that is set to 'Across All Columns and Side Head'.

It works as expected until there is a line with paragraph style set to 'Side Head' and the next to 'In All Columns'. See the image attached.

Is there a way to make this frame run into these paragraph styles?

Cheers

    Hi,

When you have an anchored frame set to Run into Paragraph, then FrameMaker seems to assume that it will be in the sidehead area although it is not. You can test this, when you have a file with side head and an anchored frame set to Run into Paragraph. When you change the Alignment to Left or Right, then you see that the anchored frame is still in the column.

When you have a following paragraph which is in the sidehead area (Pagination Side Head or Across All Columns and Side Head), then this paragraph is beneath the anchored frame. It does not matter, if the paragraph would fit.

When the pagination is set to Default or In Column or Run-in Head or Accross All Columns, then the paragraph is not beneath the anchored frame.

For me this behaviour is not correct.

In the Adobe Tracker there is already a report about the incorrect placement of an anchored frame:

If no-one else has a solution, then you can report your issue there:

    Best regards
