Animated GIF in PDF output

Hi all,

is it possible to hand an animated GIF to the PDF output (remaining animated)?

FM10 and AcrobatX work together rather fine concerning other animation formats such as SWF or AVI. I am not sure however wether the PDF format supports animated GIFs at all.

Is your question the same as the original? If so, Acrobat still does not support animated GIFs. But you can convert the GIF to an MP4 video file (for example) using an app like Photoshop, and then import the file into FrameMaker, and publish to PDF.

As a side, I've never ever got an embedded avi to covert to pdf.  I do it all in the pdf.

Dov,

thanks for confirming, then I need not do any research and testing.
