Are there any known problems with the Framemaker 12 FMPublish client?

Question

Just opening the publish pod via File -> publish destroys the database connections that I have established in my FDK framemaker clients. Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Does the Framemaker 12 publish functionality have any documentation or configuration?

I can't see how just opening the pod without actually performing any publish operation could have such unfortunate consequences.

There's not much documented for the Publish pod behaviour. There's a little snippet of how to code it in Extendscript in this thread: How to access the Publisher module

Perhaps it might provide a clue. You could also try contacting Vikas Singla <vsingla at adobe.com> at Adobe engineering who provided the script info, It may be an unintended consequence, as I doubt they've tested this with your particular circumstance.
