Can I add a space to the beginning of a paragraph tag (or the end of one)?

Hi. I have a document set up which has lines which use two run-in tags and ends with an in-column tag. The first tag is fine as far as indents go, the second tag as well, but the third tag needs a space between it and the 2nd tag. Is there a way to do this as part of the paragraph tag style?

As each inset is in it's own paragraph format, you can pick one and use an Autonumber format with a leading or trailing non-breaking space.

AN formats don't have to be actually numbered.

Use an \x11 in the dialog (which is apt to get converted to "\ ", and not a Unicode \u00a0, which FM may not recognize as non-breaking.

The default punctuation for a running head goes after that paragraph. I think that's where you want the space, right? The \sn is an en space (the width of the letter N) but you can add any width space you want.

I'm struggling to visualize this. The two run-in paragraphs will sit on the same line as the previous paragraph the in column will be on the line below.

Which is likely why Bob is asking if you need a vertical space above the in column. Perhaps a screen shot will be helpful here. I'm guessing are asking about the space in front RunIn Para2 of which can be added through the paragraph style: add it to the text box next to RunIn Head in Paragraph Designer > Pagination.

Sure, here's a screenshot of the situation: the first numbers are one paratag, the main text is another (with a character override for the bold letters) and the red numbers at the end are a thrid paratag. This text is autgenerated from a database (proprietary software) so maybe we can build in teh non-breaking space that K.Daube referred to above?
