Question

Can import Excel file, but can't save

I have FrameMaker 6.0p405 running in Windows XP Media Center. I have MS Office 2007.

I can import an Excel file into a document. When I save the document, however, I get the following error message "An internal error occurred while writing imported graphics in thie document. The file has been saved, but has lost some image data. Please report this to Adobe Technical Support."

Moreover, not only is the Excel file not saved, but neither are text changes.

I can successfully import graphics into anchored frames.

An associate running the same version of FrameMaker can save a document with an Excel file. I'm not sure what Windows or MS Ofice version he's using.

Any ideas? Thanks, George

Russ - Thanks for the info. The threads provide a wealth of good info. SP3 is probably the culprit. Converting my Excel files to text is a promising solution.

George, this sounds like an OLE problem that has been discussed at length here recently. Search the forum for "lost some image data" and you'll find the threads.
