Can't change tracked text edits

Thanks for the responses. Writer 1 was doing a peer review of Writer 2’s document (with track text edits enabled). Writer 1 made tracked changes to Writer 2’s file. Writer 2 cannot then accept or reject the changes in the document.

Writer 1 did close the file; yes, the files are on a network drive. The file is not protected or in a read-only folder. we can edit each others’ files when track text edits is disabled.

Writer 1 used track text edits for his own document 1. And at the same time he had another document 2 from someone 2 else where writer 1 also used track text edits.

Now the original author 2 of the second file 2 cannot accept or reject the edits of the first author 1.

Is this correct?

Can you explain in more detail what happens?

Had writer 1 closed the file?

Are the files on a network drive?

I would start with restarting FrameMaker, restarting Windows, saving as MIF and saving the MIF as FM again (MIF wash), importing conditional text settings.
