Can we downgrade a Adobe FM 2017 licencse to FM 9?

Hi there!

Our software outputs files that can be imported into Adobe FrameMaker. Since some of our customers still run around with Adobe Framemaker 9 licences we have to test our software with FM 9.

Is it possible to downgrade an Adobe FrameMaker 2017 Abo to FrameMaker 9?

If not: Where can we get a copy of Adobe FrameMaker 9?

Thanks in advance,

Sebastian

Probably not from Adobe - have you talked with them yet? You may find old FM licenses on third-party retailers' sites.

Looks like CDW doesn't have anything prior to FM11 at this point (other than FM8 for Unix/Solaris).

There's lots of FM9s on eBay, but whether or not they credibly include a never-used CD Key and reliable media is anyone's guess.

Wouldn't you have corporately purchased licenses for FM over time to test your software against? If so, you should have access to installers via the Adobe Licensing site.

We are moving away from our former big contractor and are building our own software environment. That's why we won't have access to these licences anymore.

Is there a possibility for getting an old licence in our situation?
