Hello, I seem to recall that you cannot install Framemaker on the network and run the application off of the network, but was wondering if anyone here might know for sure. Some people that I know are thinking about doing that and I am wondering if it will really work. Thanks in advance for any assistance you might be able to offer.

I seem to remember that there was some kind of FrameMaker volume licensing for networked sites, perhaps eight years ago or so. If you have a lot of seats - perhaps even are on an Adobe volume license program - your vendor or an Adobe volume-licensing customer service agent can help.

You can have your .fm & .book files on the network, but you can't install FM on a server & expect it to run properly.

... with a bit of luck! I was beginning to make some headway with using Livelink (document management platform) for .fm source files, but then came a corporate decision to switch to Sharepoint: end of my document management experiments, because FrameMaker uses WebDav and Sharepoint isn't WebDav compliant.
