Cannot sort a table

Hi all,

The Table > Sort command is grayed out in my vers. of FrameMaker. I have 8.0p277 on Windows XP Professional. (Yes, I know it's all old, but this is what the company where I work provides.)  I have tried selecting an entire table, a column, rows, and clicking in the table. Have checked the main menu command, the shortcut menu, and the keyboard shortcut for sorting. Also quit Frame and restarted my computer.  Nothing helped. Your ideas would be much appreciated.

Gloria,

Check your \fminit\Plugins folder for the presence of the tablesort.dll

If it's not there, then it somehow got wiped (perhaps someone cleaning up other plug-ins?) and the menu item has nothing to run.

Bingo, Arnis. Had no tablesort.dll. I had tried an old version of Archiver recently because I really, really would like to have that (RIP BFoster), but when it didn't work with FrameMaker 8, I zipped up the files and set them aside. Oops! tablesort.dll was caught in the zip file. I added it back into the plugins folder and all is right with the world.

Thank you very much!
