Question

Change default search text (-Search) that appears in HTML5 Search box

Does anyone know if you can change the default search text that appears when you publish a Framemaker book to HTML5. I can change the default color of the Search text by editing the Layout, but can't figure out how to change the default text in the search box. It says "-Search-" by default.

I was looking to add a note to enclose the search phrase in double quotes to narrow the results found.

Thank you.

If I was to take a guess, it's hiding in the .sts file - probably inside a .lng file (because that's where wording like that hides in RoboHelp - and the Publish engine uses RH under the covers to crank out HTML5).

Thanks for the info - at least it points me in a direction to look. I don't know much about what's inside the .sts file (I just extracted mine and found it contains a whole slew of files). I don't know about the .lng file either. I don't use RoboHelp and on quick look, they seem to be a Robohelp thing. I'll do some more digging to see what I can find.

IIRC the .sts is just a zip file, so making a copy of it, changing the extension to .zip and unpacking it, makes a start.
