Clearing the underline check box

Hi,

I have an unordered list which now has underlines.

I have tried everything I can think of to remove the underlines from the list, but that has not happened.  The only other option I can think of is to try and recreate the list, but unless I can remove the underline from the font setting, it probably won't help.

How can I clear the underline check box from the List Paragraph style in the Paragraph Designer?

Thanks for any help.

Cheers,

Elizabeth

    Hi Elizabeth:

FrameMaker has three states for a checkbox:

    1. Check means on
    2. No check means off
    3. A solid box means "As Is" and doesn't change the state.

Keep clicking until the checkbox is empty. Then Update Style.

    Hi Barb,

    I was trying that process.

I tried it again and it worked!!

    Thank you.

Those checkbox states are confusing to new users. In the long run, they are great because you can see exactly what it going on with mixed paragraphs, but I watch my students clicking once to deactivate—moving to As Is—and the clicking Update Style and wondering why nothing changed.

Anyway, glad you are back on track, Elizabeth, and always happy to help.
