Question

Collapsed folder content does not appear in PDF

Has anyone else found this behaviour in Frame 12?

My colleague printed a book using the File>Print method (NOT the File>Print to PDF menu option) and noticed that some of the chapters were missing - although they did appear in the TOC. He looked again at the Frame book and found that several of the folders within the Frame book file had been collapsed. It was the content of these which did not appear.

Obviously the workaround is to ensure that all folders are expanded before printing, but we wondered if anyone else had seen this?

If you print your FM book, then having the folder closed will generate only postscript for the open files in the book. However, using the recommended SaveAsPDF route, FM automatically opens the closed folders in the bookfile immediately after you supply the PDF name in the file popup window and you will get the complete book in your PDF.

Is there a specific reason to use the print to file method?
