Does anyone know if you can do the following in FrameMaker?

-Nest tables

-Include images in a table cell

-Rotate text in a table cell

I have the sames questions for AEM.

I am trying to decide what functionality exists and whether it exists in both.

Thank you.

    @frameexpert:

    1. Yes (through a table in an anchored frame).

    Otherwise, I agree: No. Just don't do it. Really, please do not embed a table in a table. In 99.99% of the cases it's not necessary, and just really bad information architecture. Have a little pity on your posterity and just don't do it.

    Regarding XML Documentation for AEM: It's DITA-based. And DITA does not allow tables in tables (for the same very good reasons). Otherwise, yes, of course, you can add images to table cells. And you could also rotate the text if you customize it, as there is no such thing in DITA by default.

    Stefan-Gentz: 1. Yes (through a table in an anchored frame).

    Also by faking it with straddles elsewhere in the same row and column that hosts the simulated sub-table.

    But yes, no; eschew that too.

    FrameMaker:

    1. No

    2. Yes

    3. Yes, in 90 degree increments.

    AEM uses DITA so you should check and see if DITA allows nested tables and the other things.
