Question

Condition indicators are showing on tracked changes in final preview even with indicators off

I want to be able to create a redline PDF and a clean draft PDF of the current state of my document. The redline PDF works great, but when I turn condition indicators off and switch to final preview to produce the clean PDF, any inserted text that is marked as conditional retains the conditional formatting/coloring. Is there anything I can do to create a PDF that shows edits accepted and does not include condition indicators? I am using FrameMaker version 17.0.4.628. Screen shots attached.

Hi Andrew,

As Dave said, it's not clear what you show.

Why is the text in your redline example red and in your preview blue?

There is a bug, when you use Track Text Edits and conditions.

When you click "Preview Final" in the Track Text Edits toolbar and have a condition to the new text applied and hide the condition indicators, then the condition indicators are still shown.

Please vote for this tracker report! Add any comments (e.g. when you have 17.0.4 or 17.0.5).

Is this bug the reason for your behaviour?

Best regards, Winfried

I will respond to Dave with more details. That bug does describe my experience.

Can you show a screen capture of your show/hide settings and your track changes menu/toolbar?

There's no way I can tell what's going in based on all the redacting.
