Hi everyone,

I have created a new book yesterday and while assiging formats and numbers to various documents updated this book several times. Today, when adding the generated files and updating those Frame crashes and reports a fatal error. I have found out that it is cause by either my index or index of figures. Any ideas on how to fix this? The file is generated but cannot be updated. Crash report files are never to be found so I have stopped to look for them.

I would rename the generated files to “copy of …” and delete the references to them in the book file.

Then make new files using Add Index, and hope it works OK.

If it does, you can then save a lot of formatting time by importing the formats from the “copy of …” files.

Thanks, I have tried that but to quote a Dilbert cartoon: 'The software, It no worky'.

Renaming the file, updating and saving that file works but when I add a second generated file (LOF) Frame will not even generate that file. I am now trying to create a new book.

any idea what might have caused the crash?

creating a new book from scratch gives the same error. I've run out of ideas of what to do.

I'm sure by now that the error is cause by the Index of Markers.
