Deleting several conditions at once

Hi,

Is it possible to do at least one (or both) of the following?

1. Remove in a single doc several conditions? Currently I do the following:

  • Open the document
  • Open the conditional tags pod
  • mark and delete every tag individually

2.  Some of these unused tags (they were imported to the document, but are not used) exist in many documents (hundreds).

Is it possible to remove a condition from several documents in one shot?

Thank you.

Miriam

    Hi Miriam:

FrameMaker excels at copying formatting and condition tags from one file to another, or from one file to selected files in the book window. It's not so great at removing (as in "cannot remove") formatting or condition tags from multiple files without a 3rd party app.

I added this recently to my FrameMaker wish list. If you agree, please consider voting it up and/or adding your own comments using this link: Tracker.

I use Rick Quatro's FindChangeFormatsBatch script ($80) to do stuff like this. It's well worth the money.
