You may want to check out the RunaroundNone plugin from this site:

It will prevent the problem for graphics imported in the future, but I

can't recall if it automatically fixes the ones already imported.

You can also quickly toggle all graphics on/off using the <esc> v v shortcut. This will allow you to very quickly scroll through a document and avoid any of the graphics phunnies.

As far as I remember there was a bug in previous FrameMaker versions. It caused FrameMaker to jump back to the insertion mark, when you had scrolled to a page with a graphics file with Runaround not set to Off.

I had thought that this bug was fixed. At least in my FrameMaker version it is: 11.0.2.384

You can change the Runaround properties of all graphics in one go with a free itl script:

I see a similar behavior commonly in FM7.1/Solaris.

Paging through a file (with PageDown key or FM's arrow keys), after some number of pages, it snaps back to the page with the focus. Have to move the focus, or use Control+G to specify the desired page.

Never really seen this behaviour – maybe you need to set focus on the desired page to stay on it; it sounds like the document is still loading up as you’re paging through it – when it’s finished, it doesn’t realize you’ve moved on from page 1 (because you haven’t clicked on page 50 for example).
