DITA output using Framemaker 2022

Hello,

I have created a DITA concept document using structured xml FM 2022. I have downloaded JRE, however I cannot publish HMTL.

Questions-

If I have a third party published do I even need to see the HTML output?  I will be supplying them with dita xml files.

Can anyone point me to some instructions for applying styles (for PDF output) when authoring in structured xml.   There must be a way to produce the tagged data and make a nice PDF from the same file.

thanks very much

keli

I have created a DITA concept, installed Java and then reinstalled FM 2022. I still can't generate HTML, I get a message saying 'check if JRE is installed'.  Any help or advice much appreciated.

thanks

Hi Keli,

I recall having that issue when generating HTML5 from a ditamap.

I believe I got around it by saving the ditamap as a bookmap with components.

In the 1-hour Adobe webinar I gave on converting Word to DITA, I discuss both a permanent and a temp way to use Book with Components to produce HTML5. See approximately 30:45 in the video if you want to skip right to that content.

Hi Keli, you have 3 questions in your post. Can you edit the title and question to focus on one thing?
