DITA templates and reference page graphics

I am messing around with DITA templates for FrameMaker 2022 and have run into an issue. While I can make FrameMaker import an edited template, designs on reference pages are not being imported.

I suspect this has something to do with the edd, but do I have to edit the edd simultaneously with editing the template files?
