Encounter errors for printing PDF in digital print

Hi,

I have a pdf output from FrameMaker 2019.  We encounter this "Transparency used (soft Msk in image) error message for all the images used in this FrameMaker doc. 

The PDF output from earlier FrameMaker build (10) didnt have this error.

Anyone can advice here?

    Hi,

     

    Which image formats do you have?

    Do these images have transparency? And do you need it?

    How do you create the PDF? With Save As PDF?

     

    And: What's your FrameMaker version? Do you have the latest update 8? Check Help | About.

    Hi Winfried,

     

    1. JPAG image.

    2. Those images have being there since my last version doc. They were fine to print without errors. 

    3. I use "SAVE AS PDF" option from FrameMaker file menu.

    4. FrameMaker version: 2019 Release.

    How to do i check if i have latest update 8?

    Hi,

     

    OK. JPG does not have any transparency.

    When exactly do you get this error message? What's the exact text of this message?

    Does FrameMaker still create a PDF?

     

    What happens, if you change your default printer to Adobe PDF and print to a PostScript file and distill this with the Acrobat Distiller? When there are any issues, the distiller gives some more info.

     

    You can check the exact version in the Help menu. Click on About FrameMaker. The first line of the dialog lists the version.

    You should always use the latest version. If you click Updates in the Help menu, FrameMaker checks for new updates.
