Question
Entering general unicode characters via key combinations, macros, and fcodes
In previous versions of UNIX FrameMaker you could enter generic characters into a document by using many different methods:
backslash x hexcode in the search box
Esc x hexcode at the keyboard
backslash shreik x hexcode in a macro
fcodes in a palette.
FM 8 has an equivalent of the first method - backslash u hexcode in the search box (although you have to be careful to use unicode codes and not UTF-8 codes for Chinese characters). But I have been unable to find an equivalent for the last three methods for entering unicode characters in UNIX FM 8.
Does anyone know if they exist?
