Question

Equation editor

Any chance of getting the keyboard shortcuts back for equation editor in FrameMaker 12?  Also, I used to be able to select text in the equation editor by tapping return (similar to tapping the spacebar to select equation parts).  No longer possible.  Why disable that function?

Psst – you realize that you’re not talking to Adobe when you post on these forums, right? This is a user-to-user operation here ;>)

Yes. But where do I go to RANT against Adobe?  I perhaps foolishly hoped that someone from Adobe would see some of these posts and fix stuff.

FWIW, it wasn't a deliberate act, rather more like sloppy library linking in the release version (which also resulted in the need for the 12.0.1 patch).

The best way to get this issue addressed is to send emails to the product management team outlining how detrimental this bug is to your organization and how many licenses are at risk...

It has been reported as a bug (along with a number of other bugs), so hopefully there will be another patch in the not too distant future.

The keyboard shortcuts still work,  but not the backslash memnomics, e.g. \alpha, as mentioned in the other thread on this topic: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1402382?tstart=0

Yes, I saw that the backslash memnomics no longer work.  i just don't understand why that would be disabled.  I am NOT pleased with FrameMaker12.
