equation numbering in FrameMaker 2019

When entering equation in a document you need to insert an equation number (similar to table number) that can be cross referenced to. How can it be done in the latest version.

    Hi diver314:

    Create a paragraph tag for the equation text—I call mine "Equations". Set up the auto-numbering, and remember to add a series label. For example:

    your equation here (1)¶

    your equation here (2)¶

    might be:

    E:(<n+>)

    I normally put the number to the right and that's an option in Para Designer > Numbering properties. Then add the equations and cross-reference as usual.
